Thawing
Refrigerator Thaw
- Remove the desired amount of shrimp from the bag and place them in a colander.
- Set colander into large bowl; cover loosely and refrigerate 8-10 hours or until thaw.
- Rinse and drain well.
Quick Thaw
- Remove the desired amount of shrimp from the bag and place them in a colander.
- Set the colander into a large bowl filled with cold water and place it into the sink.
- Allow a small stream of cold running water to thaw shrimp for 10-15 minutes.
Preparing
Grilling
- Thread 4 thawed shrimp on each skewer.
- Brush with olive oil, salt, and pepper if desired.
- Place shrimp on lightly oiled grill grates. Cook 3-4 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 130°F.
- Let rest 2 minutes before serving.
Frying
- Preheat a lightly oiled nonstick frying pan to medium-high.
- Fry thawed shrimp 3 minutes per side—season as desired.
